Ward Funds to Local Food Banks and Project Hope

  • News

Recently I was able to take some of my contingency funds and donate them to our local food banks and our local pantry, Project Hope. Food insecurity is real in our community and these organizations along with other support organizations like Essex Food Basket work very hard to keep our most vulnerable fed. Miracle Day June 27th was a success but we did not surpass last years total so we need to keep working to keep the shelves full. Our Food Banks and Project Hope also appreciate cash donations to purchase items they are low on. When donating to local support organizations you can contact them to find out what they need as needs change.

Thank you to everyone who donated June 27th and a BIG HOMETOWN HERO thank you to all the volunteers who work daily to feed our community. I have posted contact information for the organizations below so you can share and reach out to them if you need anything, know anyone who needs anything or want to make a donation.
