Council just wrapped up their discussion on the proposed sale of the Old School House. It was along heated one! We took the motion to declare surplus off the table. This is the bylaw below:
That By-Law 1981 being a by-law for the Declaration and Disposition of Surplus Land at 195 Bagot by The Corporation of the Town of Essex be read a first, a second and a third time and be finally passed Dec 21 was taken from the table and put back on the table for March 15th. That does give the community two months to provide feedback.
Councillors Bondy, Garon, Verkeek, Bjorkman and Deputy Mayor Meloche supported giving the community extra time to see the plan and provide comments to council.
