I am so excited for the 1st Annual Kids’ Clothing Swap!
The cost of essentials continues to increase, from gas to strawberries, life is hard! One day I was fortunate enough to receive a bag of donations on my front porch to re-home to someone in our community. It inspired this idea of doing a community clothing swap!
I love receiving ‘new to me’ clothes, especially for my girls who are growing so fast. It feels like Christmas, every time. Children grow out of their clothing so quickly that sometimes it is difficult to keep up! Why not come together and donate what our children have out-grown and grab something ‘new to us’ in exchange?
We also will be holding a charity BBQ (while supplies last) during the clothing swap to raise money and support our local Cub and Beaver Scout programs. Students from ACHS Private School will be selling Freezies to raise funds for new gym equipment as well.
Please take a few minutes and clean out those closets! Drop items off in the Wagon on the porch at 255 Wellington Street and mark your calendar for June 5th to come “shop” for new-to-you items. Kids are welcome!
