My Social Media is a busy place- I can not help it! There is a lot going on and I want to share what I learn with you. Remember – when I know you know? So here is the kicker… I am getting accused of using a lightbulb meme to signify ” the hanging of ELK Energy staff”. I shared the meme on March 30th, which was sent to me by a friend saying, ” look at this, this is you””. There was a power outage 3 days before in Hydro One Territory and I was told the cause by Hydro One so I posted a visual for others could understand why the power went out.
For anyone who follows me on social media knows I move fast and from topic to topic. There is no way a meme shared 3 days later (about me!) was intended to be aimed at ELK Energy. I knew it was not ELK’s fault and shared with everyone it was the cause of a downed guy wire.
Also do I really have anything against ELK employees? No, I do question the board and the reason for that is, every time the power goes out I get questioned! Every time the power flickers or goes out I lose hours of time I could be working on other issues or spending with family because I am constantly messaged about it. So yes I have asked people to add council members to their discussions, to email all of council, to call ELK if you need the trees trimmed, to complain to ELK or Hydro One directly, etc.
So I ask the Intergrity Commisioner, did you even look at my social media around the time? Did you investigate my side of the story?
Or just you just rely on the opinion and interpretation of the Mayor?
