Sunday January 31st at 7:00 pm, residents are welcome to share their thoughts on Colchester in a Virtual Town hall meeting. Share with others what your vision of Colchester looks like. All members of our community are welcome to join. The last Secondary Plan for Colchester was done in 2007 and much has happened since then in the Village. You can find the document on the Town website by searching Official Plan and the Secondary Plan for Colchester is located within that. We have started the process as a council to look at increasing the commercial zoned areas of Colchester Village along County Road 50. In 2021 the Town of Essex is updating its official plan, your feedback is welcome to help ensure our new plans reflect the community wishes.
Colchester Village is rich in history and becoming a hot spot for local tourism. Growth and development is coming so share with the community what does growth look like to you? What is your long term vision of Colchester? Should the community and council do more to increase commercial space and development?
