Introducing Staff Sergeant Mike Bradley

The Ontario Provincial Police supports our members through various lateral and horizontal development opportunities throughout Essex County and beyond. This provides those seeking promotion to develop and enhance those competencies that we require for advancement in the respective ranks.

I’m pleased to introduce A/Staff Sergeant Mike Bradley to the position of Operational West Manager, which is positioned in the Town of Essex. A/Staff Sergeant Bradley is a 19 year veteran of the O.P.P. who began his policing career with Waterloo Regional Police Service where he worked for two years in both urban and rural centres.

A/Staff Sergeant Bradley accepted an opportunity in 2007 with the O.P.P. where his first posting was to Campbellford Detachment which is located between Toronto and Ottawa along the Trent Severn Waterway & Trans Canada Trail in Northumberland County.

In 2008 A/Staff Sergeant Bradley was transferred to Chatham-Kent OPP where he served as a Traffic Enforcement Officer on our Queens Highways.

A/Staff Sergeant Bradley in addition to having extensive traffic management experience has undertaken numerous courses of study and is a recognized Drug Recognition Officer, Breath Technician  and Coach Officer.

In 2015 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and has in his capacity has overseen several fatal and personal injury motor vehicle collisions in addition to effectively managing a broad spectrum of police operations at a busy Detachment.

Mike is committed in supporting the communities where he has worked and lived through his volunteerism and engagement with several notable community based organizations.

Mike is a personable and an experienced police officer who looks forward to working with community members in the Town of Essex.
