Essex Council Supports Turtle Crossing Signs

The Turtles Thank Essex Council for Continuing to Raise Awareness

Watch out for turtles! Essex Council at their August 23rd Regular Council Meeting passed a motion to put up turtle crossing signs around Fox Creek. This is a good move for the turtles and for raising awareness of how vulnerable and valuable each turtle is.

As a lifelong lover of turtles I am grateful that we continue to talk about their importance to our natural eco systems. The Youth Climate Action Committee is donating 50 dollars towards the cost of the signs. Thank you Youth Climate Action Committee! Below are a few other links that show the history here in Essex of protecting this vulnerable species.
