Another Potential Partner- Curtains Up!

Council has received a proposal from Migration Hall Productions see below:

“As you are aware, Migration Hall will likely be deemed a surplus building and sold within a few years, we are looking for new home for Migration Productions, as we will likely rebrand.  HDHS has many of the requirements that we are looking for in a true multi use facility.

  1. Theatre Space – We would hold a minimum of 5 Productions a year
    1. Stage
    2. Seating space- We would fundraise for a tiered seating assembly.
    3. Rehearsal Space
    4. Building Shop
    5. Textiles & Costume Space
  2. Classes
    1. Vocal lessons
    2. Children’s Theatre
    3. Sewing & Textiles workshops
  3. Kid’s Lounge- This is designed for a fun, safe place for the Teens & Tweens in Harrow to meet. They are starved for a place to go where they can socialize and interact in a supervised environment. We would include, but not be limited to:
    1. Gaming Lounge- Book spots with your friends and watch them play
    2. Coffee Shop- Tim’s is small, and the adults hate them there. Let them come to a place where they are welcomed!
    3. Trivia, Games, Dancing, tik tok challenges, other fun activities by the night
    4. Drop in Sports nights -Basketball, Volleyball, floor hockey
    5. Organized sports rentals – soccer, basketball, pickleball
  4. Music Rooms for rent- The Leamington library rents out rooms for groups to get together and jam. There has been a lot of interest expressed in this here.
  5. Economic boost to the Town. We plan to hold a number of Productions a year that attract @ 1200 people/run over 6-10 performances. The increased traffic for activities, and partnerships with local businesses will help our Town build on our success.

Working with the Town of Essex only makes sense. Let me know when we can get together to discuss this further.
