Office of the CAO-2021-01 13
RE: E.L.K. Valuation Request
That Report Office of the CAO-2021-01 entitled E.L.K. Valuation
Request prepared by Chris Nepszy, CAO dated May 3rd, 2021 be
received, and
That Council requests the Board of E.L.K. Energy Incorporated (E.L.K.)
to obtain and fund a valuation of E.L.K. Energy Incorporated.
Translation- Council needs to ask the ELK board to direct ELK staff to get a value of the company. In theory we have ” control” of the board because we have appointed 5 councillors to the board. If council supports this then in theory it should pass at the board, in theory that is. After all, why would anyone not want this Board member or councillor? This has been something I have asked for a few times and glad it is finally coming to council.
Consultant to valuate E.L.K. Energy from July 6th 2020
- Moved by Councillor Bondy That Council designate funds for the 2021 budget process to hire a Consultant for a valuation of E.L.K. Energy, being that it is a town owned asset and knowing its value is important to our shareholders.
- Councillor Vander Doelen and Bowman both voted opposed.
